
The Amateur Radio Club Sarawak (ARCS) recently held its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 15th, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s vibrant history. The event was a resounding success, filled with insightful reports, forward-thinking discussions, and the election of a dynamic new leadership team.
The AGM proceedings kicked off with the presentation of the Secretary’s and Treasury reports, providing a comprehensive overview of the society’s activities and financial standing over the past year. Members engaged actively with the reports, demonstrating the strong sense of community and shared responsibility within ARCS.


One of the most anticipated agenda items was the discussion surrounding the upcoming 12th Borneo Amateur Radio Festival (BARF). ARCS will proudly host BARF in Kuching, Sarawak, in 2025! This is a major undertaking and a fantastic opportunity to showcase Sarawak’s amateur radio community on a regional stage. The excitement was palpable as members discussed plans and preparations for what promises to be an unforgettable event.
Adding to the wave of enthusiasm, the AGM also saw the official kickstart of the Mart Linking project, set to launch on April 1st, 2025. This innovative project promises to further enhance communication capabilities within the amateur radio network, and members eagerly anticipate its rollout.
Following these energetic discussions, the AGM moved into the formal process of dissolving the 2022-2024 committee, allowing for the much-awaited election of the new office bearers for the 2025-2027 term.

The election results were met with cheers and applause as the following individuals were elected to lead ARCS into its next chapter:
